Diarrhea is one of the illnesses that in an instance may strike a certain person. It will cause you to have a lose bowel movement and you cannot control your discharges. Thus, even when you are just at home, you need to do precautionary measures which will cure diarrhea especially when it happens at night time. Most of the time it happens when you have eaten too many foods and it’s hard for your stomach to digest it that is why diarrhea happens, however, you can still make remedies for it as a prevention when it strikes you. The first thing that you can do is to eat or drink something to ease stomach upset. Sometimes, when your stomach is upset, the last thing you want to do is try to eat. Try eating something light and easy to digest; it can actually help to settle your stomach and make you feel better. Pregnant women are advised to eat saltine crackers to ease their nausea and with good reason. It often works. Eat some sugar cookies or animal cookies. Simple cookies with no too many frills may make your stomach feel better. Swig little sips of tea, juice, and clear broth to help relieve stomach upset. Try coke syrup. It has been given to sailors for seasickness. The phosphoric acid in coke may sooth the stomach. Lessen carbonation in sodas. Carbonated beverages are more likely to hurt your stomach, so stir them to make them less carbonated. Avoid beverages that are really cold. Lukewarm juice or soda will be better for your upset stomach. Avoid milk and dairy products, especially if you are mildly lactose-intolerant and can eat small amounts of dairy products. When you have diarrhea, the lactose travels through your intestines more rapidly and is less likely to be completely absorbed. Undigested lactose can worsen diarrhea, make your stomach hurt, and cause bloating and distention of the bowel. Stay still to lessen nausea. Mothers from time to time shake their children (instead of finding the ipecac syrup) when they have by chance swallowed poison to help them vomit. When suffering from stomach upset, laying or sitting down and remaining as still as possible could help.
